Kelly Buchanan began her employment with Timian & Fawcett in July 2025, coming to us from an employment law firm that specialized in federal discrimination and whistleblower litigation. Because of this, Kelly is able to navigate complex litigation situations, manage clients’ expectations, and display both competence and comfort in both jury and bench trials.
However, Kelly’s biggest passion – and ultimately biggest joy – is the people she represents. A Detroit native, Kelly is a second-generation American, so she knows what it is like growing up as an underdog; fighting to be heard and seen. Kelly brings that same fighting spirit to her clients – both in auto injury and workers’ compensation cases. Kelly is not afraid to go up against the “big dogs” – whether they be insurance companies, state and local governments, or corporations – and get her clients the outcome they deserve.
Kelly lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband and two rescue dogs. She has two grown children. She is an avid runner and loves seeing the world on her travels. Kelly is a self-professed “mediocre skier,” and has the distinction of always being first picked for trivia pursuit teams.
